Project News

The Salvation Army Hall is a grade 11 listed building located in a prominant site in the town centre. The render to the front facade had weathered over the years and was starting to crack and break away from the original stone work. In addition there was no fire protection within the building and some of the joinery was starting to rot and required replacing to prevent water ingress into the building.

Phillips-Griffiths Ltd sucessfully gained listed building consent to   carry out the refurbishment works and the project is currently   underway and progressing well on site.

As the project was likely to take more than 30 days and more   than 300 man hours the scheme was deemed notifiable under   the CDM regulations 2007. As registered CDM coordinators we   advised the client on their responsibilities and undertook   regular checks on site to ensure health and safety compliance.
